The words dance around my window
                   waiting to come in
                   I wait and ponder
                   but a moment
                   as they twist and spin
                   Like a poetic kaleidoscope
                   their patterns
                   couplets and feet
                   change before my eyes
                   Then to my surprise
                   my resting pen springs
                   to life
                   How did the words
                   sneak past my defense
                   when I am fully awake
                   Or in my enchantment
                   did I the window break
                   Like a rainbow the words
                   text
                   flow from window
                   to pen
                   to blank paper below
                   forming
                   creating
                   with each and every stroke
                   melodic verse
That I alone could have never
                   wrote.
                   Then they left
                   as swiftly as they came
                   the words spinning above my
                   head
                   stopping a moment
                   at the window sill
                   as to say adieu
                   then floating on the passing
                   night breeze
                   as the sun brings
                   the morning new
                   looking down to paper in
                   my hand
                   I see a poem
                   looking this way and that
                   sign my name
                   smile
though I know it a lie
and hope my new found muses
                   will bless me
                   yet again
                   until my name is
                   Frost
                   or someday I am rich.

Brad, your muses are delightfully whimsical--and capricious!

Happy hugs to you and your entourage!

Hi, had to come back and look at your picture again...you look much like someone I knew a long time ago...he played in a band...from New Jersey...they sang a lot of Journey's songs....what a writer he was...a good friend...last I heard he was married...but that was a long time ago...anyway..now you know you have a twin...hehehhehe.

Brad,  I like this.  It is cute the way those
rascals of words and lines,  feet and
all seem to do as they may....I think that
has happened to me a few times too.
