~*~
Beautiful Barbie,
you're queen of the dolls.
You dress to the nines
for sports and for balls.
With wonderful wardrobes that
dazzle the eyes,
attention is made
to accessorize.

Your lustrous locks
fall in profusion.
Your hour-glass figure,
must be illusion.
You date a dream boat,
whose name is Ken.
He's tall and he's handsome,
the nicest of men.

Everyone loves you!
You're the belle of the ball,
and you are the fairest,
of the fairest of all.
When I grow up
I'd like to be,
Just like you,
My friend, Barbie.

~*~

lol....very nice.
Can't say that I can relate
to the kinship of a barbie doll,
But never the less a great poem

(smiles) Oh Linda, I know I may sound silly saying this, but I too love Barbies sooooooo much and love it when little girls play with them a lot and I would play with my little sister all the time, who made a dollhouse and so much of her attire collection! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, hehehe, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Linda, I love this. I always liked Barbie and Ken. My Mom collects dolls and even has some Barbie's and a Ken.

Linda:

I loved my barbies . . .
I always wondered though
why Barbie's middle was like a size 4
she had perfect breasts
and her feet were constantly in
a perfect arch
I also always wondered why both the dolls
were anatomically incorrect
LMAO - no wonder I am confused these days
loved this write
it brought me back to my camper
and barbie pool
and the van . . .
ohh and the penthouse

LOL! No, can't say as I can picture you playing with a Barbie doll--well, maybe with a full-grown, live one!

Have a great day!

That's not silly, Dearheart! Your sister was fortunate to have a brother as a playmate!

I was never a doll kind of gal... too much a tomboy. *S* But I did have a Barbie... with a wardrobe my mother had made while I was at school... I've so much regretted that I didn't put her away better... for the first time I came home from college, I found Barbie beheaded, the clothes destroyed or vanished... my sister and her friends had invaded. *S*

Enjoyed the poem, EA... it obviously brought back memories! *S*

Your Barbie was beheaded?!? Perish the thought!
Sorry for bringing up such traumatizing memories! LOL Oh, please forgive me for laughing! I do have a macabre sense of humor at times.

Luvs 'n hugs,
EA

EA...I had to read this one to my two girls...they actually sat still for some poetry today when they heard this verse...

They run from mine!  I have been told others do as well.  LOL

I love Barbie....was gonna look just like her when I grew up, but then, well......had two kids, and everything went south for the season and still ain't come back.....

My daughter is the next Barbie generation in the house, and she is convinced that she will look just like her one day!

Bless her heart, she don't realize that she has my genes and not Miss. Perfects,,,,,,hahahahaha

gem ~

My two daughters have kept all the vans, cars, horses, pavillions...and they take up so much space! Oh, well, they are part of their childhood memories. Did I forget to mention the over 150 Barbies!--they're still collecting them!

Loves 'n hugs,
Linda
