where the wild flowers grow

He sat down,
contemplating his faith with pen
and ink, he wrote a letter -

Dear God,
I've been feeling so sick
lately.
My ribs feel like they're
caving in..
So young, dear god, so young and sick.
My eyes aren't quite

focused

and trust me if I'd
known that my
life would be so shortened, dear god,
I'd grasp my own hand and
lead myself to nowhere.

And what do you care, god,
if I live or die?
It would mean one less prayer,
and one less life to hold.

I struggle with
what to believe in..
I wonder if that's why, god,
why I've been feeling so sick.

Very troubling read.  I can relate to this.  And there is no doubt staring into the abyss causes strain.  Enjoyed just the same.
