The cold steel of another day
pressed against your skull
insomnia's had an itchy trigger finger
of late and thoughts
you'd hoped had drowned
in a deluge of benders and pub crawls
resurface cold and grey
2 steps forward 7 years back
Staring at the ceiling
your sheets soaked in sweat
your pillow in tears
What do you do when
you're staring down the barrel
of another day?

If at first you don't succeed destroy all the evidence that you tried.

Behind my happy-go-lucky smile in public, this is my life.  As always Raph, you write dark too well.

Sigh........

......

There's so much more I'd like to say, but it's stuck in my chest.

This was...too close to home, I guess. And I can't think of any words that would explain how much I loved this...

Sigh.
