The powerful cover of artificial hair
the cover on a scalp laid bare,
by choice if not to fit a sect
by rout...not to appear a reject

A woman's hair will thin with age
as all actors circulate the stage;
the role wig covers tarnished crowns
performers then bow...a witness frowns

He attaches excess to artificial dress
be it in the clothes or a crowned nest;
modern day man is loathe to change
weaker sex heads were shaven in vain

To reduce the power of attractive forces
religious acts had to run their courses;
hair pieces bought to cover bare napes...
marry into observance meant no escape

Am still reminded of the chosen locks
imbued in traditions of mental blocks,
that draped the necks of men of stature
and seized an audience in enrapture

Powerful curls made bountiful for the royals
who could afford to critise their foils,
but hair lines still continued to thin
didn't matter where the power had been....

The powerful cover of artificial hair
covers various crowns..some say debonair

Enjoyed! Well and cleverly written!

I might add: Bless the wig!

Till oceans cease to flow and deserts lose their sands, may beauty surround you every day and wealth be in your hands.

touchee for the toupee,
a bit too hairy for me, but then I am wigless, (and hairless)
in any event, enjoyable ponder.

Am getting there too my friend...my mom got a wig after so many years of pointing out who among the tv stars would be wearing one...and she looks good in it...thanks for picking this one out!
