Daddy's Got your back

My Daddys gone to war,
Who knows when he's coming back
But I'm proud as can be 'cause my Daddy's got your back.
He protects our freedom and preserves the peace.
He risks his own life, keeping yours preserved.
I'm the proudest girl alive' even though my Daddy's gone.
I only see him in my dreams,
But I'm ever so proud knowing. my Daddy's got your back.

Hi everyone!!
This poem is one of the truest poems I have ever put on any site. Yes my dad is in Iraq. He has been since April 7th. We have no idea when he is coming back. One day I was overcome with emotions and part of them were because he was gone. I wrote this down and now I may be going to Washington D.C for an international poets convention!! Well anyways hope you enjoyed the poem!
