Love Lives On

Some say that true love only lives to die
But I know loves lives on, I know it I
It’s there in the touch of summer sun
The warmth of hope that has just begun
When eyes meet across time and space
Love smiles again, I feel its grace
Within my soul I feel hope rise anew
And yet I still have the touch of you

My true love hasn’t gone he lives still
I feel his touch, and I always will
But now he’s guided me to this place
Where I can feel hope’s renewing trace
Love beckons me to take its hand
To learn its truth and to understand
That love never leaves those who know
To walk in light and let hope grow

In faith I thought love had left me
When my true love died so tragically
That even though I held to his trace
I had lost the light from love’s sweet face
But love doesn’t die or fade away
It lives on, it’s within each new day
Its touch lights my eyes once more
I know that love lives on as it did before

Love lives on, I can feel hope calling me
And I’ll walk in love’s light eternally

Marsha

Tomorrow is another day I don't know what it holds
but I can face the future with courage brave and bold

Mushy, remember this...you have had the
opportunity to experience something.  On one
hand,  the most beautiful thing of your life, next to the birth of your children...

And on the other hand,  the tragic loss of
someone very close to you...  You were given
both,  hopefully that you can understand
the richness of what you have and have held.

Death never puts a smile on one's face,  only tears...But if death brings peace to one who is dying...then death will bring a
smile once we understand...

Hugs to ya my friend...

I liked this not only for the poetic sense but for the tenderness of words you chose. Love does live on, and in some cases it dies and is rekindled over and over again. As with the case with me, but that's for another time, another place. Peace.

Love never dies...love is in the air, for us, by us and waiting for us to discover it...we are most incredibly loved, and this poem is a poem of a very gentle poet...lovely walk through the clouds...

(smiles) Oh Marsha, this is beautiful and so very true, dearest friend, don't listen to those people who say that, they obviously are pessimists and fail to see the spiritual semblance of what love can bring! (big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Marsha, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

No, it doesn't die, Mushy. It changes from active to passive but it retains all of the luster and fervor it always had. It nestles in a special place to be brought out in special moments of rememberance and thanks...love lives on
