To grasp the quill in soaring flight
and fly beyond imagined thought..

Yes, beyond...

A breath of grieve upon the page, the tear
in shimmering rest.  A breath of life, the
vaunted sage..in search the poet’s quest.

Woven weave of silken sleeve, of scarf
upon the chill.   Words of heart’s true belief,
in want the vintage swill.

A toasted taste, of post and paste as words
become one’s life.  Writ not in haste, nor
mindful chaste, of love, of life...of strife.

To clutch the breath in halted pause, to feel
the heart upon the skip.   To see the read
of wanted awes....to toast, to taste and lightly sip.

A shuddered sigh, and stifled cry, as words of
mind are penned on white.  A stuttered sigh,
a misted eye, this love of one’s soul touching write.

A dream, a dream...a destiny....to pen the vaulted page.
A hope, desire....a want to be...be known a poet’s sage.
