He Inspired

Somberly, I took this walk
my eyes just staring, not to miss.
The air surrounding touched me light,
the breezes gently giving kiss.

I thought about that face of one
whose smile would light the evening sky
that more than shone her love of life,
and shared with me, each breathless sigh.

I turned my head down towards the ground,
releasing hold of thoughts that be.
There in gold, a heart was found.
I picked it up to closer see.

Maybe a message, for this time
of loneliness, in which was caught,
my feelings pondering the "whys"
with wishes of those smiles, I sought.

I raised my eyes until they met
hers of heaven, bluer still.
Attractions held, then words were said
and there a gift, of moment's will.

Her beauty was beneath her smile,
outshining heart in hand of mine.
Reaching out so tenderly, I placed it
now in hand of thine.

Allowing moment to center on
a friendly discourse leading way
to evening of, in arms to dance.
She in mine, now memory's stay.

~~*~~

So never doubt that fate exists,
even if so short in time,
because this story told of now
his happenstance, I've placed in rhyme.
M
* thank you JamesM. for your inspiring story.

Beautifully done Maureen,
Kethry

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Hello Keth, nice to see you. James placed that little story as a reply to a poem of mine in # 26...inspired a write from me. So I thank him for that.

Thank you Dave. Nice to see you here as I check in.

Doing my spring cleaning and gardening now, and trying to catch my life up to where it should be. I hope all is well in your world.
