Office Romance

how am I,
you ask?
to tell, I’d have
to rip your dress,
to pull us down
into each other,
drink your sea,
dive through
your depths,
drown happy
in the waves
of you,
dissolve....

so we
make
conversation
as I hold
the door,
take
the left
rail on
the stairs,
you the
right,
and
never
touch

Hey!  Get that camera out of my office!  I have got to show this to my "co-worker."

(Psssttt!! I thought I had best put in the past tense, for obvious reasons)

Such a wonderful juxtaposition of the want and the reality... the yearning reach though hand never moves... even more incentive to get to the office than the paycheck. *G*

I'll watch for the edit... but this is perfect just the way it is. *S*

Ah-ha! *G*

Yanno... one of these days, I'm going to learn that just cause I don't see how something could be doesn't mean it can't be. *S*

I thought it perfect before... I humbly admit it's better now. *S*

Yep, I do believe you woke me up as well.  Read a couple of lullabies and was starting to nod...then I stumbled onto your verse.

Yep, wide awake now.

This strikes me so funny.  The young man I work with is always shooting rubberbands at me, he never lets up.  Keep in mind I am old enough to be his Mother, and he has his little honey darlin'.  He never stops reminding me, he's a big fish in a small pond.         So today he tells me I have way too much perfume on...(it's new, how was I to know it was that strong)  and to march out of his office immediately, and close the door behind me.  Then, at the end of the day he sends me an email telling me to lighten up on the foofy stuff,  and that I smell like a bowling alley???  He went on and on about the ozone layer, and then says maybe I'll get lucky, (at the bowling alley) and some guy will take me for a ride in his monster truck if I show him my long bed???? And that my girl friends and I are right up there with Jerry Springer and maybe we should get our own show.  (the nerve)  He's hilarious, and lots of fun....I told him I hate to be the one to break it to him, but it's over between us if he doesn't go home already!!!

TGIF....Loved your poem Ed~

Like walking from a sunlit garden...into a stark, concrete corridor...

Seems world could be the latter - without the power of imagination...

Nice. Guilty of same. (sometimes)
