You touch me With your thoughts Your opinions And beliefs You touch me When you encourage me Lacking confidence yourselves When you care for me And I don’t You touch me When you think you’re weak Ever so strong When you keep fighting Without any hope You touch me When you cry Hiding your face in your palms When you help Without thinking of yourselves You touch me When you say you’re doing fine And I can see you’re not When you’re trying and trying Never getting there You touch me When you’re all alone But unafraid When you love me And I don’t deserve it You touch me When you speak the truth Risking much When lower your guards And open your hearts to me You touch me When you lend me a hand In need of one too When wish your many wishes Knowing they won’t come true You touch me When you touch others For no special reasons When you love your children Unconditionally You touch me When you raise your voices and cry For others rights When you unselfishly Pay attention to the weak and weary You touch me When you reply to my poems Not needing to When you say you hope I’m doing fine Not knowing who I really am You touch me You keep me hanging on [This message has been edited by Balladeer (06-28-2003 08:50 PM).] |

I liked this because there are so many real and truthful emotions, feelings and thoughts within this poem. Most all very applicable to each of us, routinely.... Welcome to this place, sorry I had not read your poetry before now... |
