Dream A Beat

do you
call my name
in your sleep
am I the secret
that you
tenderly keep
of how
your heart
really feels
when all
but touch is what
makes it real
is one lifetime
the right amount
of time
to hear a heartbeat
wake next to you
in rhyme

"do you
call my name
in your sleep..."

thinking that i just might! this is beautiful and heart-felt.

Helen,
