Just Ordinary Things

There it is
a note about
her day

just
ordinary
things

ordinary day
perhaps a little
treat to brighten
her morning
an errand
friend met
little duty
that she's done

just
ordinary
things

ordinary things
that lift me
simple words
of her living
that bring joy
any touch, any
of her reality
kissing mine
is all bliss
even

just
ordinary
things

I often think it is the small moments in life which have the greatest impact.  Thank you for sharing this poem.

Ed....When you care for someone, every little thing about them is special and important, isn't it?  I'll bet she feels the same way.

When you think about it, life is made up of ordinary things, that take on a new meaning when they are shared with someone who genuinely cares.

The simplicity in this is what makes it extra special.  Very touching Ed~

well the sweet sincerety of this makes me have a simply perfect poetic sigh.
Lovely heart thoughts poet sir.

How nice,
when ordinary things
fit,
they are not so ordinary
after all.

The major events in our lives can often be announced to one and all... but most of our existence is rather uninteresting and even mundane. *S* To have someone taking pleasure in the ordinary moments of life is to know you've found true caring. *S* This is beautiful! *S*

I am touched by the pure simplicity of how you capture the "routine prose of common existence"  Well done my brother.

I just joined this group and hope to post a poem or two soon.

I like this group already!

Ed, this is how my Honey-Love and I are, too.
Thanks for sharing this.

Oh, and tell your friend, Will, that I took
a sneak look at his web-page. I love his
love poetry and, being the hopeless romantic
that I am, I'll be looking for his poems here.

Those little sticky notes are great, aren't they? I like the ones that barely give you enough room to say HEY, Have some fun today!
Yep, it's those ordinary day-to-day things that are worth remembering.
