~*~
Picnics
Are happy meals
With friends and family,
Outside in fresh air and sunshine.
A coming together for fun and food
On a beautiful summer's day.
Kites & games & laughter,
Everyone loves
Picnics.

Enjoyed the picnic.

You are most welcome to join us for the next picnic!

--and believe you me, there is lots of home cooked food! I have to run through the meadows to burn it all off!

Masterfully crafted BUT..............

Where was the food....I'm hungry!

This looks easy,  when you do it,  but for
me,  I think I will have to unscramble a
few brains cells first....

Magnus ~

Barry, something tells me that your brain cells are in fine working order!

--and as for the food, I suppose just mentioning that there was food would not be sufficient to satisfy the hunger of a Passions' man!

Alrighty! I'm sending you some of the leftovers!--

*northern fried chicken (I'm from Ontario!)
*corn-on-a-wand
*angelled eggs
*sun buns
*moon tea

Enjoy!

Nope, not my thing. Too many bees and ants. The wind always blows the paper plates off the table. It's too hot and I don't do hot! And balancing a plate of food is not my idea of fun.

But I loved your poem.

Marti! Marti!  Marti! I never thought of you as a party pooper! LOL

What if I ask the ants and bees to stay away from you, and I wave my wand to make the wind die down, then will you join us on a picnic?

I'll even ask Mr. Sun to shine for you! lol

Dear One-With-The-Rain, look at the bright side of the scenario! You'll have lush gardens and verdant lawns when the torrential downpours cease!--unless all the plants have drowned or been washed away!--but then again, nature does have strong recuperative powers!

~ May you be enjoying a picnic very soon!

Please note, that you are always welcome to join us for fun in the sun!

One cake coming up for the rose of gold! I must tell you that altho' chocolate devil's food cake is delicious (or so I have been told! ) I only bake angel food cakes. But I can put chocolate sprinkles on your cake and light it up with sparklers!

Next picnic is on Canada Day (July 1) on the shores of Lake Ontario! See you then!
