When the sun shines
upon my face
Oh!  It is pure heaven . . .

until I look into a mirror
and am left
with nothing but sunburn

Hey susie! been sunbathing then? naughty gal. no sunscreen. tut tut.

oh i'd love a tan, but cant stand sunbathing. i'm as white as a sheet without my trusty old fake tan.

visited my aunty in america this time last year, in st. george. sun burn isnt harsh enough a word to describe my skin. trying to put and keep a bra on was hilarious..but not...ooooh the pain!

thanks sue, this made me smile.

love ya girlie!

Some rays forgot to reflect,
too much time in the sun.
  A lesson learned, I expect ...

... under the moon is more fun!!

You are the sun, the mirror and the image stairing back. Each the perfection reflection of the moment.
Deeply felt poem.

I liked this, too, Sue. Reminded me of a
lot of sunburned days under these Florida
skies. I love the sun and the beaches, though.

How utterly simple and purposeful on a few different fronts! At face value this is cute and a great little read. Deeper into the flesh, it is metaphorically rousing. I enjoyed it.  <>DW<>

You have a way of writing short and simple, but there is so much more meaning in those few words.

(sigh) Then again, sunburn can be a beautiful thing when you are reminded how you found your place in the sun and just stepping out the screen door you will find it yet again! (big hugggssssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is a treasure, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
