From where I Lie

I watch the leavings of the sky
The grieving of the hues that dies
Magenta’s bed with red run through
It hovers me with claming view.

The sadness of the flow sends awe
That ripples to my very core
It hugs my chest to tight, to tight
The ending of the day to night

I swallow in the pain of know
I wallow in its wane of throw
And brine has run its salty grime
To join the ending of a time

The grieving of the hues that dies
The leavings of the awesome sky
The misty spread of gold and red
The glory of its florid bed

But I am resurrected lieu
The coming of new mornings coup

This is SO beautiful Sy!
And, just think you have a chance to watch another sunset the next night.
How about blueberry tea this morn?

There are those special, rare moments,
when His palette is so perfect
that not to notice, would almost be
a sin...

Never fear to recognize the beauty
and never apologize for the emotions
it draws forth...

for we are only here by His grace
and if we can, in turn, share that
moment with others,

then it is the poet, and the painter
who will do so.

And I just happen to know for a matter of fact
that you wear both hats quite well.

I love this perspective... to mourn the passing of the colors... while most of us are still enthralled with the show. *S*

Excellent, dear Seymour! *S*

I must have need of a new perscription for my proverbial rose-colored glasses! I could have sworn that you had written "Margherita's" bed, instead of "Magenta's" bed! LOL

Sending you a pallette of my heavenly watercolor paints to perk up the colors in your world!

Love & Light,
EA

With each new morn's salient sunrise ...
the day is reborn in resplendant reprise.
Your rhymes so lovley ... make me sigh on high ...
if I but could I would write your name cross satin skies.

No matter what the differences
No matter what the cost
When words become our weapons ...
All that's beautiful is lost.

Sy,  you get two pleasures....going to rest
as the night comes...rising upon the new
day...none of us know when that last set will arrive
