on the moon

Where have my words got me
What do I call this limbo
this inbetween
this shakedown
I break down
Slowly at first
Doing okay
Then,
It all comes crashing down
The sky fell on my head
You were the sun
And I the moon
You cast your rays upon me,
I glow
Magical mysterious blue face
Can't tell if I'm frowning or smiling
The sun too bright to look at
But all who stood under
All who felt the heat
All the lovely plants that grew
Our vines of love
The moon can't show
Without her sun to glow
Partners working together out in space
The black Unknown
One certainty
I can't survive alone
