If we lie among the fireflies tonight
We might reflect the energy of their light
And under these stormy skies flashing bright
Restore our shattered faith and with them take flight.

Venus,
Foxy,
Dixie,

Thank you all for you comments.
I'm glad you liked this.
Every year about this time a passing evening storm and the fireflies get together for a special presentation.  Unfortunately, I'm always alone when it happens and have no one to share it with.  Darn.

you inspire me..........

Low Lying Fog

I have
looked behind
every blade
of grass where
your steps
once laid
I am here
now
you were
there then
just to be where
you have been
touching a ghost
that was
your shape
and breathe
your air
that did escape
grabbing at
just a
mere shadow
in low
lying fog
of empty meadow

S Arthur.....Nature has many picture shows...this one I'm sure was beautiful.  I've watched the show of storm, but I've never seen a fireflies warm.

I watched last Saturday night as the fireflies completely took over a friend's backyard...and what a show they put on.
It reminded me of tiny fairies carrying tiny lights...
