Poetic image
cast out lightly to the stars
returns energy

Pained awareness shared
sheds life's light on fertile ground
producing flowers

I do like to think so...

But, then, conversely, the idea of my darker stuff seeding the universe terrifies me...

And perhaps it's better suited to a discussion forum, but I have often wondered about how accountable is an artist (aspiring in my case) for the effects their words/works have on others?

hmmmm...

You always make me think...

Easy pieces; there can be no light without darkness.  You serve a vital function in the balance of nature.  Should you ever drag and claw yourself and your vast talents out of the darkness, some other poor unfortunate will simply take your place there.  (Also, I will miss your company in the neighborhood.  *smile* )

As for accountability for our artistic output and its effects on others?  Well, we are only totally accountable for any influence we have on others.

Ah, thank you. Smile. Now I can say I have a noble calling.

*chuckle*

and yep, I'd miss you too. In fact, I think I did, even before I knew you existed.

Smiling at this...and at the exchange
between you and Karen.
I so enjoy reading you...glad you
decided to join the 'family'.
Hugs,

Bright flowers edge paths

Want, predation, sleep.
Often all of these at once
In nature ~ in dream.

You never fail to leave me with a smile...
~ Well done...much enjoyed.  Hugs~

Icy,

How optimistic!  So something good comes from learning in everything bad? I would really like to believe that...maybe not totally but I am closer  today than yesterday....

Icy, I want to have you over for dinner so I can just sit and listen...

It's funny, I lost track of this one.

**********

serenity blaze ~ Oh, I would have thought you already understood your noble calling. *smile*

Foxyoasis ~ Thank you for that kindness.

pisumnux ~ I am glad you enjoyed it.  Thank you for telling me.

passing shadows ~ Thank you Ma'am for your support! *smile*

Nan ~ Nice transliteration !!!  Thank you.

Martie ~ Always, you show clarity of vision. Thank you.

vlraynes ~ *laugh* My only personal understandings of "family" has been as a dysfunctional social study, so this place has been a great experience.  Thank you for reading my poem and for your comments.  Karen?  She may be the sister I never got to lock in the attic. *grinnnnn*

Pilgrimage ~ Oh, I LIKE that!  No thorns!  What a way that would be to follow.  Thank you.

Enchantress ~ I do not know if you meant it to be, but that is the statement of a huntress.  Thank you for reading and for the thoughtful comment.

Susan Caldwell ~ Circumstances willing, there is no creature of horror nor human abomination which could not have suckled at the breast of a loving mother, and brought her joy.  No human behavior can stray so far as to prevent learning which leads back to the Tao.

Dinner?  Hmmm...what's on the menu (besides my brain) *smile*

Thank you for reading my poem.

I believe that one should think,
Before one's thoughts be put to ink.

--as you have so obviously done with this gem from your pen!

Have a glorious day!

wranx ~ Thank you for reading and for your comment.

Earth Angel ~ That is always a good idea.  I keep looking for the button that does metaphor checks; shouldn't it be near the spell check tab? *grin*

Susan Caldwell ~ mmmmm...sounds tasty!  Maybe with a decent claret?  Or a thick dark beer? ...or perhaps ice cold tea with lemon, no sugar?  I'm going to go and check the discount airfares now. *laugh*
