All That Remains

you have
such a way
to bring to surface
tears that lay
in the back...
I too
have such
a hard time
holding on
to my heart...
yet I find
I now clutch it
all too tightly
finding death in
the giving and
in the keeping
to where
all that remains
is sorrow

Sad and beautiful as always, I particularly enjoyed the first few lines up to the first ...

Everybody hurts, take comfort in your friends, cos everybody hurts sometimes

This to shall pass. Such a kind gift this is...

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Oh Helen, this is so beautifully sad, such melancholy we share. I'm not sure if making you cry is a thing to be proud of, but touching you is. I love you like a sister and we will both make it through and someday we will be happy and share that

Thank you for this write, one to go to my library and keep forever. You touch my heart, every day.

Oh how I ache for the pain that you feel.

Much pain lies in my heart, and writing is all that helps it go away.

Though I was able to escape the horrid pain of my life, it will never wash away because there are thousands of tears inside that I was never allowed to cry.

Thank you for your poetry!

It is beautiful and heart touching.

Sorrow never read so well,
or so forlorn.

I too
have such
a hard time
holding on
to my heart...

This is as sad as it is beautiful~
Go easy on your heart Helen.
Hugs Dixie~
