Prophecy, Part 2

Summer’s heat hung
heavy her heart

        humidity's drudge, weighty,
        like a blood-filled mosquito's buzz

in nocturnal air.

Tossed and turned
once cool, crisp bed sheets

        crumpled now into soiled sorrow,

She,

Sleepless

             soothed not
by ethereal wisps of night vision,

desiring only
a exacting touch of flesh

Heeds only in this sore heart, a
slight, faintest whisper of obscure
midnight streets

Beckoning her to walk
an avenue’s dark lane
in soul search

where
prophecy awaits,
wanting to be
fulfilled.

Slipping sandals and shawl
around a thin frame
she'll walk the avenue called Horizon

and will meet a crimson dawn
alone.

For destiny is light.

As if a moth spirit,

she canvasses streets
window gazing, peering for
his incarnate soul.

Stealing glances into light of lovers
and lonely hearts

waiting to hear the muffled scratching
of his pen almost dry,
knowing she alone holds the ink, she,

Undiscouraged,
unyielding,
shall again
discover
prophecy's light,

His light
his touch
his words.

Honestly, Dear Karilea & Patricia, for what it is worth, I am VERY impressed with your illustrious collaboration! You wrote exceptionally well together, and I DEMAND a part 3! Oh, my! Aren't I the mouthy one!(JM--that was "mouthy" not "mothy"!)

Warm morning hugs to you both!

Ladies,  this is a beautiful blend of
mystery and yearning....done so well
that even I have difficulty discerning
which is what...

Yes,  mayhaps a part 3...  I think so...

Mayhap a Part 3, Magnus?  But of course.  Patricia and I are having too much fun NOT to have a Part 3.  Thanks, everyone, for enjoying this along with us!

Karilea & Patricia,
My favorite movie is "Dream a Little Dream". Oh how I love the telling of this dream. Such an awesome duet!

I'm so grateful there is more.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
