In the circular motion that we move in
there is much to lose and more to be gained
when coming full circle at both ends.

In search of a connection
I've turned in all directions
that might set me straight, given the chance.

I wish I weren't so comfortable in the irony
misleading me through familiar territory
only to end up traversing through the same tunnel.

As if I knew my way around
getting lost all over again
and it breaks my heart to leave you like this.

But I am out of gas
and I'll be fine for days at a time
once I find a place in the shade to call my own.

In another lifetime, when I make the right turn
I will be back, and if I've learned nothing else
I rest assured that the light will be on when I do.

Until next time...
I'll miss you most of all
it's been that way for as long as I can remember

It's always been about you~

In search of a connection
I've turned in all directions

I wonder how many of us feel this very same way?
Lord knows I do...everyday.
I feel as though I am searching for me, for anything that resembles sanity amidst the confusion.

Wonderful peice!

....circular motion can be nice....

...unless it's an orbit and you want to land on that particular planet....

I have time for about one poem this morning, and I'm glad I chose this one.

It's that given the chance part...
I think I have run out of them.

I've found myself going in circles many times... all thoughts of progress wiped out when I realized I was right back where I started. *S*

You've written this SO well, serenading one. *S*

(big hugggsssssssss) Oh Lori, this is beautifully sad, dearest friend, this sounded like a Sheryl Crow-style song that I would love to hear! (sigh) This is painful, dearest friend, I hope now you have someone who listens close to you, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lori, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Dixie~ I'm glad I'm not alone, thanks for keeping me company.

Dear Larry~ Who me?  Hugs for you.

Ed~ Venus and Mars all right, no wonder!     Thanks.

Maur~ I know, it's the chance we take that makes it so hardd.  ~Hugs girl friend~

Martie~ I appreciate you too, more than you know.

Yea I'm into blue, maybe I should mix it up a bit more.
Thank you always, Linda~

Janet Marie~ That was awful nice of you.  You are always so gracious with your replies, and I thank you for the lift.  That's so poetic and inspiring...another poem in progress.     Hugs~

I know all about square one, I just want to get past GO,  just once!  Suthern, thank you so much.

Ms. Slick~ Sometimes my pen starts to melt when I least expect it, and I can't help myself.  I'm so glad you stopped by, thanks.

Thank you Noah~ In the end we only have to answer to ourselves.  Putting our feelings into words helps to lighten the load.

Kathleen~ It's hard to find the center in the midst of all the spinning!
It makes me dizzy, obviously.  Thanks, you.

Topsy~   Welcome to Passions and thanks.

Ethel~ You are such a kind lady, and I appreciate you.

Bluesy - I often think - no wait . . .
have you ever seen the movie, "Groundhog Day" where Bill Murray keeps waking up to the same dreadful day
over and over and over . . .

I wish I weren't so comfortable in the irony
misleading me through familiar territory
only to end up traversing through the same tunnel.

me too

circular, continous
but yet not coming to conclusion , giving closure,
sort of maddening, isnt it when that happens?
or am i totally wrong on this, sometimes i see what is a current thread in my life
but love your words, love that blonde!

Lori...trust me when i say i'm not pre menstrual, lol, but that made me cry. perhaps it was the truth in it, the sincerity, the emotion that seems to grab a hold of your face when you read it? either way, bluesy, it did. perhaps my fave of yours ever...though i end up saying thatall the time, cos you do just get better and better.
so its in my library now. yay. gonna go and read it again thru less blurry eyes.

thanks lori, for this powerful write.

much love,

Sometimes we have to break that circle and
find a new path...one which gives to us as
we continue to give...Hard not to.  Very
hard not to.  This is a very touching write
filled with what seems to be some degree
of frustration and a sense of a great burden
that must be lifted...

Michele~ You always read me just right and I thank you.
It's good to be blonde....

gemma, gemma~ I suppose at times I'm honest to a fault,
but I have no idea how to change that.  Thank you for reading me and everything that you said.

I think I need to tone it down some.     The shade of blue that is.
Thanks Krawdad~

Well since you know exactly where I'm coming from, I won't explain any further.  As always Barry, I thank you for your knowing reply.
