None of Us Is Perfect

No one is perfect or so they say
We all have had at least one bad day
None of us knows the strength within
Until we acknowledge that we too sin
We’ve all wandered from the path home
Meandered off course and started to roam
But deep inside we know what to do
In others adversity let’s help them through

We all sometimes cast a stone or word
Even when we know it’s better unheard
Our pride sometimes deceives our eyes
When we praise ourselves with too many lies
Sometimes we should remember we too
Have walked the path that others do
We aren’t always virtuous sweet and good
And we don’t always do all that we should

None of us has ever been truly saintly
Everyone does something that isn’t godly
We aren’t any better than others are
Even though we think we are better by far
Take a look within and see what is there
And then maybe you will learn to care
Offer love and kindness to all you meet
For you too know that dark isn’t sweet

Let this thought be in your heart today
None of us are perfect no matter what you say

Marsha

Tomorrow is another day I don't know what it holds
but I can face the future with courage brave and bold

How very true... *S* I may have been born on All Saints Day... but that's about as close as I can get to saintliness or perfection! *S* (although I'm working on perfecting procrastination *G*)

Beautiful write, Mushy One... *S*

This reply is in GOLD ... because your thoughts are golden !!!

If I could have written this ... I'd have been as proud could be~

You did ... and that's the beauty of you.

Sometimes 'others' just can't see beyond the glow of their own haloes~

This -

'We all sometimes cast a stone or word
Even when we know it’s better unheard
Our pride sometimes deceives our eyes
When we praise ourselves with too many lies
Sometimes we should remember we too
Have walked the path that others do
We aren’t always virtuous sweet and good
And we don’t always do all that we should'

... is priceless ... and ever so right on !

You and I have a mirror of reflecting souls~
I love you, gal~

Beautifully written and very true.

Did I read somewhere that it was Krissy's birthday yesterday? And if so, will you wish her a very happy one from me.

Marsha, this is so true. Some who think they are perfect and know everything about situations, don't. They shouldn't be passing judgements and saying things even if they think someone is wrong.

Thank you for posting this. It is full of wisdom....

I've been thinking along these same lines and wish I had wrote this...
Hugs,
Ethel

(sigh) So very true, dearest friend, but we can be as close to perfect as possible, and with your golden heart that welcomes us with true compassion, you certainly are just short of perfect! (big hugggssssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Marsha, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Hello Marsha

Your words speak so many truths and I couldn't agree more.  I hope all is well with you and Krissy.

Mushy,
You write the truth though I'd like to deny it! And you do it so perfectly.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
