Why do they call it the past, when nothing's passed? ~Sarah Harmer

I live in short gasps
through memories of what was
and what could have been

Beautiful write my friend
I can relate

I'd say - time to move on but then I'd be a hipocrate - memories, regrets, & guilt make up the majority of my soul at times. They haunt me as no ghost or spirit ever could.

I loved this one - lets hope one day soon we can live life without that baggage

Very powerful senryu, dear Raffaele!

I suggest:

May you breathe the NOW
let go of sad memories
step past the door, smile!

Abbracci.

Thanks everybody and yes the answer lies in Margherita's poem and in what Jason but how many of us allow ourselves to really believe in that. From the responses few..one day i hope we'll all smarten up and get on with our lives. Wish you all peace you deserve.

Raph,  this feeling has been my neighbor
on many occasions...far too many.  I know
it well.

A powerful capsule...
Great job. Sending hugs.
Did you ever turn that jug just about 90 degrees to the right?
You know, the difference between acceptance and forgetfulness is about a solar system wide lol. TD
