The bird erased
in the rainwashed sky,
I wander into flower fields
climbing high along towering trees,
trying to catch truths, if but in glimpses,
only stumbling on my latest obsessions.......
hearing dimestore poets speaking recycled news,
I wait now for words of birds with realknown views

no knock on fellow poets,(i love u all)
just on my own impressionable self perhaps

smiling.

Nothing wrong with dimestores--and nothing wrong with not liking 'em either.

Tho I like to think this is more of a flea market--sometimes you just haveta dig around for the real finds--and sometimes too, (and I do mean ME) some idiot has buried a lovely antique beneath layers of paint!

You got me smiling as I think--and that is a good thing! Thanks.

(chuckling) Dang it... been found out again..and I switched tags and everything! I just knew the fake I was would show one of these days....

Hey..seriously.. I think I undertand the feeling..I often and I mean OFTEN feel that way about the things I have written... perhaps a good many do...

Now..dimestore... I have some nice memories of a dimestore.... and the treasures it held for the kid I was...

Hi ya Inked - I loved this one - You paint from a beautiful array of words creating a masterpiece on what was once blank canvas
Paint on dear poet - I look forward to viewing more art

. . . all that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream  . . .

I really liked the concept (although I'm not sure if concept is the right word to use here...) that you wrote of in this poem. For me, the connection between the birds and the poets eluded me until the last line, and from there, it all came together. It's admirable how you get the reader to trust you and follow you to the very end of the poem in order to understand the full meaning of it. You do not disappoint.

"hearing dimestore poets speaking recycled news"

Wow. That line...was probably the strongest line of the whole poem. This I understand wholly.

Thank you for sharing! I hope to read more from you soon.

i guess i seek insight thru others at times, hanging on for the glimpses that arent truly anymore truths than the ones i can only faintly come up with......we cannot go beyond the sky,(well not all the time) therefore my friends, the birds, must bring me the truths.......
something like that.......
