An Old cliché

My ego likes to fly each day
On the uplift of what they say
With open wings I wait the breeze
And flutter with each little tease.

The power of their flowers lush
Lifts me up and make me blush
The twirling of their frills and trills
Overflow with vivid thrills.

Each remark of sweet replies
Takes me by complete surprise
They dance upon my spirits quest
And give to me your phantoms best.

Exquisite is its touch of sweet
A lullaby of adult treat
And though it is a fantasy
It graces me with ecstasy

And I in turn can only say
The old cliché, you make my day.

Oh Seymour this is so lovely and beautifully said  .... some would not admit it, but isn't it so ... a few kind words and comments can make us open our wings.

Ahh, this is as gentle as the breeze outside my window this Sunday morn. Very light and offers one a smile or two. Thankyou for this dear Seymour. Toast and marmalade with your tea to-day? hugs, Chris

Delightfully refreshing!
Cliches tend to stand the test of time
and remain forever.

Till oceans cease to flow and deserts lose their sands, may beauty surround you every day and wealth be in your hands.

Yes indeed Sy,
The girls are swooning. You're the man!

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Cliche away, you make our day
for 'tis upon sunrise I wait
to see stray thoughts in rhyme at play
to hear creaking at garden's gate
where your friends come to rhyme with you
and play all day within the blue

Each gift you offer for our day
Brings us delight, so we must say
Our praise - please know it is sincere
You're our delight, sweet Seymour dear.

Good morning, Dear Sweet Sy!

Is it not fitting that you should receive replies that make your day?--for you surely do ours with your daily sonnets!

Loving hugs,
Linda
