In quiet time I find Him,
Walking down a maple lane;
On a sunlit field of daisies
Sparkling bright with last night's rain.

Alone, I feel a presence
And a knowledge that He's there;
The world that moves around me
Makes me ever more aware.

A place down deep within me
Seeks these times of sweet release
From the earthly cares I live with
And I find an inner peace.

Psalms 20:7 "Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God."

I appreciate the comment, don't get me wrong, but this poem is about a finding of faith and a welcoming of Christ into one's heart... my heart to be specific. The story is that of truth, as the place I found Christ is exactly described here. I always appreciate the critique, however, a work about somebody's faith should never be questioned for I believe that only works of faith come from elsewhere than one's self.

Hello, and welcome to Passions.
As for being cliche? some cliches can withstand repetition, and still be unique.

Hope that made sense.

Cheers! I know exactly what you mean! Living life believing that must be a total trip... I'd like to hear some stories.
