No Time To Play
~ By Sue ~

First, I had no job at all
Then I received that special call
Requesting that I start that day
And my life has not been the same
There is no time for me to play
I am too tired at the end of each day
I have no days to call my own
I am too tired when I get home
I think about my friends right here
The ones I always hold so dear
I sneak a peek inside these pages blue
Because I miss each one of you
I have no time to play each day
They have me working everyday

My Dad knows your pain. He works 11 to 12 hour days at work and sometimes when he comes home he just passes out in bed. Great write Sue.

Know where you are coming from girl....

Only difference is that I work out of my home, and can't stay out of here long enough to get anything done.  Ha Ha

Great poem!

Don'tcha just hate it when "real" time gets in the way of playing?... Don't they understand?  Want me to call your boss and explain?... Geesh... Tell them to get a clue...

These two line say it all Sue!! You got that "special" call, and it was "requesting" YOU. You should feel so proud of yourself. I know it is tiring, believe me. I remember walking home from work, carrying groceries, up the stairs and waiting at the door to the apartment was my daughter with........homework that needed she needed help with. I had never been so tired in my life. But, you know what? I felt very proud of myself - and you will too. Stay well and keep smilin' ... hugs, Chris

Ah dear Sue, could be my very own words! So well said. To spare some time to come here I reduced my sleeping hours. I love to peek in in the silence of the night, but my eyes close and I surrender to the call of my body .. even though my heart would love to play!
But yes what can we do. Surely there is reason to be grateful to work ..... but possibly not too much!
Heartfelt hugs dear friend! Margherita

Hello Sue, my friend

It's good to see you. We all miss you, too!!

But, I'm so glad that you have found a job that I think you like (??). Just pop in every change you get...someone will always be here in our second home, waiting to greet you. And, if not here right then, we will be sooner or later.

Do take time for your tulips, though...if you can. I want to see pictures of them.

Hugs, sweet lady
Ethel
