Mist shrouded horizon brings in the day,
a solitary swan glides over the rippleing lake,caught by the winds breath.

Bird calls ring out over the reserve,wrens, warblers and wildfowl,rejoice the morning new.Foxes hunt for rabbits,headed for certain death.

Heron darting shockwaves across the still water, it's beedy eye on the fish in the shallows.
Emerald green sheen of film on the lake,sliced by skimming swallows.

Ghostly grey skies, stretch in all directions, shading the dawn,Slithers of blue appear at it's , edge as slowly the grey curtain is pulled back, to reveal the pristeen sunlit sky.

Goldfinches undulate in flight, calling their liquidy call.Raucus rooks and crows dogfight over the field of sheep,tawny owls finnish their night of hunting and start their day of sleep.

Noisy trumpeting geese,circle and surf the lake,gently gliding in on sking waves.
They are the creatures of Mother nature, who created them all in her own special way.

I do love this, wonderful visions of nature at its best. loved the descriptions, you made them real.

I think you have described the place I would like to go and just write poetry for days on end, We all need our quiet time and our Quiet Sanctuary..enjoyed the beauty!
