Borrowed Thoughts

Tonight, in dim shadows,
inspiration forsakes me.
I find nothing new
under my moon.
Thus I turn to
borrowed thoughts
shared freely in
your moments of truth.
With your words,
I find my own.
And now I return to you that
which you shared with me in
my moment of need.

Thank you, poets of Passions.

Thank you for your replies.  I was feeling so uninspired for the last week.  So, I turn to Sunshine for some thoughts.  She suggested I was trying to hard and said I need to be silly.  Well, I did that!  "Click Here for a Laugh at His Expense" and "Emotional Constipation."  Two verses where the silliness was unleashed.  Her other suggestion...Read and read.  There you have it...and there it is.  From you, Poets of Passions, I am renewed with inspiration.

Thank you, thank you!  What would I do without you?  OOOOO, the very image makes me shutter.

I like this very much, Patricia. *S* And even if our muses aren't roused from their slumber by reading, we still have the enjoyment to savor. *S*

Patricia,  this moment of your drought
is but a thimble of water compared to the
ocean of drought that the world has seen
in poetry....  I, for one know I have filled
at least a five gallon bucket full of it...
during my drought moments....  and I do just
what Sunshine recommended....  I read poetry
of others and of some of the masters of the
word...they inspire my thoughts on many
occasions..and will continue to do so.  You
are developing nicely as a poetess.  And in
our hearts you are to be a "keeper" for a
very long time.

Right on !
I have very often found words here that send me off in a direction I was not going, especially when I was standing still.
I was with a group of poets recently and heard more than once, from the pros . . . read read read !
Poets continue to write because there are still so many ways to say it.
