…for Chrissy! (1951 – 2003) Truly you are one of the special people, you are much loved, and will be much missed. Our Lady As I sat there quietly gently holding your tiny hand I perceived a glimpse recognition that clouded eyes could not restrain The sparkle of your eye always clear to those that knew And I wondered of the memories circled within your whetted mind With the breaking of a smile often are the times that I recall Of a fair and gentle lady who saw far beyond the guile Through the trials and tribulations we saw your heart and your resolve And when you quietly slipped away from us you left us smiles among the tears So full of love and dedication that’s how we’ll remember you Our dearest little Chrissy our lady to the end And now she's in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand ~ Bernie Taupin [This message has been edited by EagleOne (06-12-2003 08:00 AM).] |

you left us smiles among the tears that line sweetly captures the essence of this very lovely tribute. A touching gifting of your verse Eddie, to someone who obviously made a wonderful impression on all she met.
