Webbing

I feel the heat, with each touch
as I straighten and press my thoughts
until all that is there, are pictures in my mind
of all those words that tease me into desiring you.

There is a softness within you
that belies the mask you wear.
The sharing of a dance lingering,
as the spinning of my words
threads itself in silken feel,
the fantasy of the day posting itself,
sealed and sent to that place deep inside
that holds onto promises to come.

That voice, not heard often enough
to recognize the meaning behind.
That silence too long between
forming a web, that strings me along
until I must sever its hold by stretching
until I can reach out and free myself from its lacing.

Then and only then,
can the nakedness that completes me,
be surrendered to the heart's wish
and I become yours.
