Do to circumstances beyond my control, my poor ears were assaulted by Conservative Talk Radio shows for nearly a week. I expected Beck, Limbaugh, Hannity, Carr, Levin, would have opinions different than mine, but was shocked by the ranting, raving, actual screaming, name calling re the President, members of Congress, Democrats, “liberals”, and the rudeness directed at some callers by those hosts. To me it seemed "Hate Radio" would be a more appropriate description. |

Other than showing the world voters realized more of the same with McCain/Palin was unacceptable, perhaps electing Obama at this time was a huge mistake. Conservatives seem so focused on seeing his administration fail, they’re almost blindly rejecting serious consideration/discussion re many of his proposals and finding solutions to the problems we now face. A good example of that is the Right’s early reaction to his Healthcare plan. First they tarred and feathered Obama with their communist/fascist/socialist/marxist brush and then chose death panels as their talking point in an attempt to discredit him, his proposals and strike fear in the hearts of those who believe what they hear/read instead of actually checking the facts. Perhaps if we had elected McCain/Palin, the country would have hit bottom by now, as an addict hits bottom, and instead of living in denial, wanting more of the same, the previous administrations’ failed policies, Conservatives would be open to other options and Conservative Talk Radio would be a forum for discussing solutions rather than a vehicle for spreading hatred. |
