You struck a chord here, Ess.

Before I even knew my father was ill, I'd asked to borrow The Iliad--part of a set--and he told me to take them all.

I looked at him funny, but he insisted,

"Y'better take 'em all, now."

So I did.

All numbered, in order, except for one.

I found the Walt Whitman in his office after his death.

It was a precious gift to me, so thank you for the opportunity to share the tale of it.
