Now can anybody here tell me who they are?  I'm not talking about descriptive words or what you do for a living, or your job/career.  None of that is who you are.  I'm talking about going deeper.  REALLY, WHO ARE YOU?!  Really think about it.  Don't worry because I don't know who I am either.

I don not want something like this:

Hey I'm Bill from North Carolina, I'm 33 years old, and live with my wife and kids.

I do not want nothing like that.

Peace. Love. Forgiveness.

Hello again.

I'm having a mid-life crisis. (I hope it is a mid-life crisis, 'cause that means I will live until I am 92.) Because of this mid-life crisis, I'm having difficulty defining myself outside of my various designated roles.

Good question though--and I have found that it is the "easy" questions which can be hardest to answer.

"I don't know" works for me though. ALOT.

I love that song. I once saw The Who in concert and Roger Daltrey jogged in place while singing a twenty minute rendition and never missed a note.

A Welcome gift for you, Gifted and of course, Mz. D!

(A shorter version--the guys are older--as am I, alas )

I'm a ball of problems and a basket of cases.

So nobody can tell me who they are?  Finding out who I am is huge for me.  I even wrote a poem about it.  It's posted on the "Teen Poerty" forum.

Peace. Love. Forgiveness.

"I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together."

The Beatles, naturally!

The name's Karen. I am (apparently) scoring the musical themes for Pip today!

I think people spend far too much time defining themselves instead of enjoying who they are.

I am me. I need no more than that... nor should anyone else.

The only way I can find out who I am is to determine who I'm not. It's purely based on deductive reasoning. So I walk around pointing at people who are not me.

Otherwise I might think I'm Reb and run around screaming for a tie.

Hey Reb - _I_ know I'm not you because I could never grow that cool moustache and beard... it would itch far too much.

I'm sorry Christopher, but Local Rebel is unavailable to comment right now.

Please enjoy this musical selection while you wait:

Dear SB, is Local Rebel related to you?

I shall be careful when I post to him next time.

How do you know that I'm not Serenity?

and... I am unavailable to post because I'm performing a purification ritual to a shrine of Euclid.

With this and one of the other threads, I surmise the philosophic pipsters just needed to let off some steam, and have a silly-fest?

Huh?

Hmmm.

I saw a flock of chickens today, as I walked to the drug store, here in the suburbs of the Greater New Orleans Metro area.

Yesterday, Louisiana was the last state in the union to ban cockfighting.

Y'think there's a connection?

And HEY--that made as much sense as everything else in this thread...

*blink*

Didn't it?
