I freed my people from Egypt's worst,
So hence, I shall deliver them from traditional verse.

I am.

Be it not the beacon, I fire into the sky so dim.
It shall be the writing without form,
creating on a whim.

The time of the Flood has long since passed,
now the day has come for traditionalists to get the shaft.

I am.

Right. God says free verse is better.

Okay. Sure.

So, uh, why is he rhyming his posts?

Does God normally come out and say He's God?  Or does He recruit some unlikely prophet or speak through the mouth of an Ass?

I dunno?

Alright, Lord God, I bow to your design,
Freeverse is manly, formverse is divine!

Ronald, I use rhyming in my posts to beat Essorant with his own methods. If it where up to me, I'd have written psalms a little differently; and I'd have nixed the "P."

Rebel, that's borderline blasphemy my son. Oh well, you always have had problems with people who are smarter than you.

Essorant,

Whether it is free or formverse,
It is the talent of the poet,
that decides its worth.

I am.

So then, God, in Numbers Chapter 7 Verse 28 when you spoke to Balaam, through the mouth of an Ass -- that was borderline blasphemy?

Or, when you chose an unlikely prophet like, Moses, or Amos -- that was borderline blasphemy?

I'm just not scholarly looking enough to figure this all out.  Help me please!  (maybe I need to put on a tie?)

Uh, okay, so who was it up to? I think one of us is a little confused over this whole concept of omnipotence?

(Even in obvious parody, sloppy thinking will be noticed. )

Reb, my bad; you have to admit it sounds pretty bad, though.   But anyhoo, I looked in my bible (Numbers chapter 7, verse 28) and didn't see myself talkin' out of the mouth of an ass. Maybe I just don't know the bible as well as you do.

Ronald, you need help dude. Seriously...

Ronald,

Here is a section from the preface of psalms:

"About half of the psalms are attributed in these "titles" to David. The Davidic authorship of some of these is taken for granted in the New Testament. Some other psalms are attributed to certain groups of temple singers known as "the sons of Korah" and "the sons of Asaph." One psalm is ascribed to Moses, Solomon, Heman and Ethan."

Jeez Ronald, you better be careful. Sloppy thinking will be noticed.

I am.

Oh, I do indeed need help from time to time, Edward, being guilty of sloppy thinking myself occassionally. Needing help, however, never precluded me from giving help. You shouldn't confuse attribution with inspiration.

Oh, and I think Reb meant Numbers 22:28?

You're right. Perhaps I shouldn't confuse insult with advice. Then things would be peachy.

On the money with the bible verse, by the way.

“Well all the apostles, they’re sittin’ on the swings, sayin’ I’d sell off my savior for a set of new rings.”

  were, not where

God, how I detest dribbled slop from someone professing to be 'above' the rest of us.
Birds are above us, as are chimps swinging from vines.
To answer your question, Ess....no, I would sooner listen to God's message from the mouth of a loon on the lake than an internet message.

Can we start acountdown until the next time Edster doesn't say anything?

Yo, God... Your biggest mistake wasn't avacado's, it was rhubarb.

No, Jim, I think rhubarb loses out to pickles... eating pickles, I think, is somewhat equivalent to murdering small children.

Yeah you're right K, none of this really supplies any answers.

Me:

It would take crickets pouring out of the USB port.
