Just wondering what's the best way to pluralize the noun "jack in the box"?
And what implication would this have on the interpretation of meaning, and grammar...
Jack in the boxes?
(one jack, more than one box?)
Jacks in the box?
(more than one jack, one box?)
Jacks in the boxes.
(many jacks, many boxes?)
what's your preference and which one is really correct?
I know, I know, probably not worthy to be posted on philo 101, but it's just to touch the lighter side... And I have seen more absurd posts
Sometimes it's fun to see how brilliant minds respond to absurdity.
