What amazes me is that this issue, among so many others, false christianity cannot provide logical and common sensical answers to satisfy the masses because it brings the confusion and contradictions upon itself.

Opeth: (From another thread)
quote:
According to your own Bible, Jim, even satan believes that to be true. And of course, since he has deceived "the whole world" and that the Bible teaches of a false christ and false church

and...

the logical question to ask is which beliefs separate the true christian "little flock" over the majority false ("the whole world") churches?

I've underlined and emboldened the parts of interest in your above quotes ... It looks like you have your own confusion and contradiction to iron out.  Which is it?  Is true Christianity something to "satisfy the masses", or is it for the "little flock" alone?  You seem to assume whichever position suits you for the moment.

I'll agree with statement if you exchange the word "certainty" for "presumption".

~ LOL... you missed it again, Stephanos.

~ Of course false christianity cannot satisfy the masses. That is the point... the masses will never be satisfied until the Kingdom of God is established on this earth... yet your christianity believes you could satisfy the masses, if only they would "come to Jee-sus... Do I hear an Amen?"

Opeth,

You missed my point.

Why do you in one breath say that if there were "true Christians" they would be rejected by every society and be a minority, little-flock, remnant, the called, etc ... etc ...  Then in the next breath say that Christianity should "satisfy the masses"?

You're avoiding my question.

Oh really? Where did I say "should?"

Please find it... I'll wait.

Most reading this wouldn't be so naive to miss that in deriding something as "false", you're plainly implying that there is an alternative "true".  In complaining that something can't "satisfy the masses", you are tacitly comparing it with some standard in your mind which can and should satisfy them.

You can't deny this simply by saying the word "should" wasn't present.  When you criticize something for what it doesn't do, you are automatically stating that it SHOULD do it.  In fact that's the entire crux of your criticism.

Thanks, BTW, for waiting.

Stephen.

LOL... Your inference, Stephanos!

Sorry, but like Layne Staley of Alice In Chains once said, "I believe you got me wrong."

... and you do. Unless, you think you know more of what my intentions are than my own mind... of course.... so many "christians" do.

lol
