I have something to say about love at first sight.
Two years ago I went on a small trip with my best friend to visit the guy she was dating. When we got to his house I walked through the door and saw Alex (his roommate) and when our eyes locked I knew that I had just met my husband. Next year we are getting married. He is the most amazing person I have ever known.

As far as the definition of love, for me love is waking up in the middle of the night when your mate puts their arm around you in their sleep.

And as for you Monica... I have 2 words.

(Uh... Okay, I can't just leave it at that...)

Good luck to you and your soon to be husband, may your lives be filled with joy and wonder

And keep in mind my little signature! (Um.. Keep in mind the second part most )

-Love is a dangerous emotion,
You can brighten the lives of others immensly with it,
Or You can destroy a person in a way that is unparalleled.

When I was in love, it was the grandest feeling in the world, knowing that somebody could care for me like that, and that I could care for someone so much. I felt as if I needed nothing else, as if I could survive off that one feeling, be sustained by it.

When I was dumped, it was hard, but I got over it. But the love never left my heart, it only changed, luckily our breakup was smooth, and we are still friends, and she has that little piece of my heart, and my love of friendship.

I could never explain love, but it is grand, the most incredible feeling I have ever known.

wolfgang, to me love can be defined by one word - mystery. for something that is so villified, honored, cherished, etc., etc., so on and so forth we seem to know very little about it!

Love is that magic moment that He awakens in us;
that He allows us to love another;
that He allows our love to create another; that He shares with everyone;
that He shows in promising a life,
if not here, then there, forever.

Perhaps this is too simple, but I am a woman of [sometimes] few words.

Words will always express our feelings true

love is when a simple kiss has the capacity to swallow you whole
love is the weakness in your knees when his gaze comes upon your soul
love is as simple as three little words
love is as complicated as three huge words
I love you

Not necessarily cliche...
Everyone certainly has his/her own opinion on this very elusive subject - That would make your instinct equally a valid as the rest, Delilah.....

Why should we try to describe what has only to be felt? Love is the unknown and the unknownable... and this isn't properly a definition. If we write about love is because we can feel it by words. So we write the little pieces. But I hope not the definitions.

Wisdom is a Divine gift
Compassion is a must
Truth is of the higher realms
We cannot forget trust.
Devotion true will take us far
Humility is grand
Fearlessness will slay the dark
Hope will help us stand.
But Love, sweet Love
She thrills my soul
For only she among the rest
Is both the route and goal.
