They cry in utter silence to be heard,
this myriad of voices, strident, loud.
Yet, locked within this deafness are their words,
unable to escape this aging shroud.

They roll and tumble, laughing as they play,
convinced that life should be lived on a lark.
Yet, lost within the blindness, heavy lay
the hand that cannot draw upon their spark.

For, so it seems that they must remain mute,
the stories they would tell, be never told.
When time's a factor, grown, irresolute,
and youth too soon succumbs to feeling old.

While there, in some dim recess of the mind
do words play childrens games I seek to find.

Seems like you and Marge are planning a Kodak moment! And I know she's right about your writing. Excellent once again Doc.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Nan,
Jeesh, can't hide from you nowhere! I thought you were real busy this month and wouldn't find me here. Oh well, glad you dropped by, I judge by the "whistlin' smilie group" that I didn't do too bad on this one.Thanks.
