Light of the sun (For Karilea)

Your voice has not touched me
your eyes are far away
in the green
but I hear you from a distance
bright as a lamp
sharp as a point

in silent tongue you reach me
you awaken my eyes
drowsy with dream
and I watch you build castles
with words like sticks and stones

unblinking

you are endless and gather me
wide-eyed and blanketed
I curl into the ease of your summer
into the sunned fabric of your warmth.

     ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thank you Karilea for being you for being unbelievably and remarkably you.
Maree
Maree, my friend, when words fail?  A poem is born.
Martie, Seymour, Cpat, Earth Angel, Wranx, and Ethel......
Thank you for stopping by, for your lovely replies and comments and especially for helping me celebrate our Precious Sunshine... Karilea.
this line "build castles
with words like sticks and stones"
was given to me by Karilea in a conversation which  I somehow got wrong. It should have been I think..."Build a castle with words from sticks and stones."
Is that correct Karilea?
Anyway credit goes to Karilea Thanks Sunshinygirl.
Karilea...no words are needed m'friend. Hugs and love.
I think we were talking about sticks and stones, how we were riddled with the normal teenage problems of kids and meanness, that sort of thing...and I think we decided that we had gone ahead and built castles with those sticks and stones we had received from childhood.  Then I told you, now, there's a line you could use in a poem...
and voila.
You did!
I'm STILL grinning...
A beautiful poem, Maree...why doesn't that surprise me?
We've all been blessed by the radiance of the Sun and you describe it better than most can...
Darn, I thought I could keep her all to myself.  What a selfish poet I am.
Beautiful thoughts about beautiful lady!
Maree,
It is equally "sunny" here! An awesome tribute indeed. Well done.
If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
