Shells decorate the shoreline,
both embraced and forsaken
by the giving ocean,

I am pulled in towards you,
only to dissolve at your entrance,
as you've abandonned me.

I grasp to make sense of this
finding little insight from shells,
as they answer in an elusive language.

nicely done Inked... enjoyed

I listened to the shells
by placing them close
to an open ear
but heard only the
rush of blood
that echoed that
which had run so hot
in veins of us

Sea shells it seems
are hollow in voice
much like the words
I use to describe
you

Your poem fits the title perfectly,  and
I agree,  there is something in those little
shells that speak to each of us...

Another picture painted nicely with words. The seashore brings back many memories of long summer days at the beach. Oh where have those days gone. Rockaway, now and forever in my mind.
