Reaching in the dark Finding nothing there Wanting more than this But seeming not to care There is something in her eyes It tells the truth that’s in her heart She cannot express these things And it’s tearing her apart She wants something that will last Longer than the melting snow But what that something is She doesn’t yet quite know Someone to make her happy Someone to make her smile To pick her up when she cannot And love her for a while She does not want someone To be her everything Just show her what love is And what happiness it can bring |

I wonder if you ever got a proper welcome.  There is always something we are reaching for, but when do we stop reaching and become satisfied with what we have? Is it possible? I am always appreciative when it comes to anything with rhyme since I am not talented enough to do it myself. Free Verse is more my style. I suppose I don't really deal well with limits.
