Kitten Britches

By accident i had found a kitten
in distress,so soft and cuddly
lovely and frisky she was.

cute and sometimes pesky,until
she felt harm, she purred so
softly curled in my lap,

if she sensed harm her hiss and
back would arch to warn off the
one that had caused harm in her
past.

oh how i love this kitten and want
her to always be purring and in
my lap cuddling so soft,forgiving
all her mischievous ways i love her.

now i wonder will my love be enough
to keep her love warm or will i need
to find some cat fur to make her
kitten britches?

I have loved many cats...for their independance and devotion to petting. Enjoyed your poem.
