the fire's sun burns the morning's dew
igniting the icy resin
and bleaching the sky blue
from dark comes the light
as once was in the times we used to fight
for the life of our daughter
born in this winter of slaughter,
ash stains her face
as tears of fear wash her sane,
let live, let die, let go of this place
to save my pretty child from her pain

*I'm 17 so i have no idea what its like to have and fight for a kid but this is the emotion that I imagine one would go through during a divorce or custody thing*

This is the truth. Many people in my family have gone through this. Awesome poem.
