A Field of Green

I walked into a field of green
Where not a footstep could be seen
Where winds were right and passed you light
And sunshine was the lord of sight

It is a field of weightless thought
Where butterflies of mind are wrought
Where flowers sprinkle rainbow hews
And mirror in a sky of blues

It is a place of meditate
A place of mind a place of state
The echo of a flying dove
The reaching of a velvet glove

It is an imply out of hand
It is a lullaby of sand
It is a fleeting path of goal
It is our Shangri-la of soul

There is no charge to grab its ring
It is a haven that we cling.

Ahh such a beautiful meditative place..
the greenfields of our minds we sometimes go.

Reminded me of that song..from many years ago.. "Greenfields" one of my favourites...
Just as this is now a favourite one of yours for me.

Good morning, Mr. T.!

---and after reading this graceful poem of spirit, it is most definitely a "Good morning" for me! Someday may we walk that field of green together in companionable silence...

Seymour, this is beautiful and going into my library! This field sounds like the perfect place to have our tea and crumpets! I'll grab the picnic basket and meet you where the daisies grow! hugs, Chris
