Here I am alone and shivering in the dark Cant seem to figure out how to start Every time I try I fall And see the faces of them all Are you all laughing at me? Is that what I see? The days are all the same Blending into one another Doesn’t seem like its 24 hours at all I always feel like I’m going to fall Every day things are so rough They say you just have to be tough What is this I’m feeling? Is there a day that I will be healing? This pain is so much And I cant touch the others that mean the world to me They just don’t see Someday I know I’ll go over the edge Take that one last step and go plunging into the deep end Will they miss me then? Will that be enough? Ya, I tried being tough You see no one believes me when I say I think there Is something wrong with me today And every other day at that I try so hard to be just right And it all ends in spite I can believe there is no turning back But I know its all just going to stack Up and down these walls I pace Wondering if theres any easy way out of this life This huge mistake. |

Sometimes people say those patent things because they don't know what else to say. Depression is a difficult thing for everyone to handle. It doesn't help when all you get are those "you got to pull yourself up by your boot straps" kind of phrases. If this is the way you feel (that is if you are not writing about someone else) then you need someone to talk to that will give you direction. You expressed your feelings very well, and I know this overwhelming feeling. Please take care. Patricia |
