The simple steps,
like wind talking
like skin walking
like running ridges in the rain,
each life presents for us its choices
all to sort again;
too many tears we shed
toward too many fears like shadow
monsters fed on bold ideas,
and dreams of love and peace
and happiness.

Am I so blest
to see the true simplicity of life;
or is it just that I have finally broken,
shattered by the elemental
increments of pain and strife,
that day by day
became the sum and product of a life?
