All of heaven's angels Cannot help me find my way All the sunshine in the sky Can't brighten up my day The path is mine, and mine alone The light is mine to find I grope about in darkness I feel as if I'm blind. My hands now shake and tremble And my heart beats fast in fear I quicken up my pace Though there is no danger near But I want to get out of the darkness And move into the light Somewhere where the sun shines Out of this eternal night. Somewhere where the days are long And the sky is blue At the end of this long journey On the path that leads to you. ~Elizabeth 2-8-02 I wrote this over a year ago, but lost track of it until yesterday when I found it again.  Dreams last for so long, even after you're gone... |
