Ancient Songs

Clover
above moody dark moss

Listen
love is two geese rippled

Ducklings gaggle
next to vultures hunch of nonchalance

Sky silt cloaks the tender hills
water         they ask
their voices are brittle
the gathering children are not listening

Hear ancient songs
like rocking mothers
the lapping water strokes inner skin
whispers        watch me
ride the hump of me
I am the breath of earth
I laugh in wings across reflection
You cannot disturb me with your rippling shadow

I am grace
you are transparent
your noise evaporates
into the hole in sky

while I hold the moon
----------
5-02 I went back to this place today...and it is still and more, this.

Your writing is so fluid and filled with an awareness and the certainty of simply knowing, and being at peace with the world around you.

Loved this Martie~

It's a sweet but ancient song.....I can't wait to see what the new one will be! To read them side by side, I'm thinking that will show new things, new facets of Martie I haven't seen before....

I've been waiting to comment until I saw the new one too, but just have to say how much I enjoyed this one.

(smiles) Yay, oh my gosh, I think they have been singing so much longer before my time, so may we all learn from the birds and the crickets and get to learn the songs they have long perfected! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is a classic, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martie, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
